A former police detective bringing real investigative experience to every exam.
Central Valley Lie Detector was founded by Jon Pierro, who began his investigative journey while serving as an active-duty police officer. In 2014, he established Venatur Security & Investigations, a private investigation firm created to continue serving the community beyond his law enforcement career.
Throughout his years in policing, Jon gained extensive investigative experience, eventually serving as a Police Detective. Like every law enforcement officer, he underwent polygraph examinations during the hiring process and later participated in additional examinations throughout his career — experiences that sparked a deep interest in the science and methodology behind truth verification.
Driven by that passion, Jon pursued professional polygraph training and invested in advanced polygraph instrumentation. After successfully providing examinations through Venatur Security & Investigations, he launched Central Valley Lie Detector, a company dedicated exclusively to professional polygraph testing services for individuals, attorneys, businesses, and private clients.
